Here in Virginia, we have so much to be proud of. Yet a recent finding by Quote Wizard indicates that there might be some room for improvement in one particular area: driving. Sure, the odds seem stacked against us with terrible interstate traffic and ever-growing cities, yet the study also suggests that we as drivers could unlearn some habits such as driving too quickly, cutting people off, and other hazardous maneuvers on the road.
A recent study has ranked the top 10 worst cities for driving in the U.S., and #3 on that list is Virginia Beach, Virginia.

By analyzing data from millions of insurance quotes in the 75 busiest cities in America, the study was able to pinpoint where the most driving accidents take place.

There were four factors taken into account to rank the top reasons for incidents: accidents, speeding tickets, DUIs, and other citations (including using a phone while driving, running a red light, etc.).

The five cities with the highest number of incidents were Portland, Boise, Virginia Beach, Columbus, and Sacramento.

According to the report, there was no one low-ranking factor that put Virginia Beach on the list. Yet the accumulation of speeding tickets and other citations seems to be the main cause.

And yet the rest of Virginia isn’t exactly off the hook, either. Richmond ranked number 10 on the same list!
