To those who aren’t already aware, each year the American Planning Association puts together a list of places around that country that are noteworthy for their contributions to making local communities more equitable, accessible, welcoming, and both environmentally and economically sustainable for residents. Throughout the years, only four places from New York State have ever made this list – Central Park in New York City, Delaware Park in Buffalo, Queens Botanical Park in Flushing, and Grand Central Terminal in New York City.
