The Magnolia State is home to some great Christmas displays, including one of the nation’s best. That’s right; Mississippi’s Richardson Light Show has been named one of the top holiday light displays in the U.S. The dazzling show is in full swing — and whether or not you’ve been in the past — you’ll definitely want to add it to your seasonal plans since it’s constantly being added to. Located in Madison, the Richardson Light Show is a residential display that’s been spreading holiday cheer since 1999.

But it’s not just locals who love the glowing display. It’s been ranked the 3rd best private light display in the nation by USA Today.

It was also featured on featured on ABC’s The Great Christmas Light Fight in 2018.

And the massive display definitely lives up to the hype.

It’s grown tremendously over the years. All in all, it features 100,000 lights, more than 300 inflatables, several hundred wireframes, a 23’ animated tree, and more.

And since items are added each year, the display is constantly changing, which means there’s always something new to see.

The Richardson Light Show is open November 29 through December 27, 2019. It opens nightly at 5:30 p.m. until December 19th. Then, December 20th through 25th, it’s open Friday through Wednesday from 5:30 p.m. to 10 p.m. From December 26th to 27th, it’s open Thursday and Friday from 5:30 p.m. to 9 p.m. Lastly, the display is free to view.
