In just a couple of weeks, you’ll be able to experience the North Pole right here in the Magnolia State. That’s right — and it’s all thanks to the Journey to the North Pole event at Mississippi Children’s Museum. Dubbed the “ultimate holiday exhibit,” the annual event includes all sorts of festive fun, including a giant indoor slide and sock skating rink. Take a look:
Located in Jackson, Mississippi Children’s Museum offers educational fun year-round, thanks to permanent features as well as a variety of temporary exhibits.

One of the most anticipated exhibits, Journey to the North Pole (JNP) will be at the museum from November 26th until January 5th — and you don’t want to miss it.

During JNP, the museum’s Gertrude C. Ford Exhibition Hall is transformed into a 1,800-square-foot magical winter village, complete with twinkling lights and train cars.

But there’s more to JNP than lights and trains.

The festive fun also includes a letter-writing station, where kids can pen their letters to Santa, as well as the Snowflake Slide.

This year’s event will also include a few new activities, such as a clock tower slide and a kid-size post office that features a package sorting station and working conveyor belt.

The Reindeer Rink, which is designed for sock skating, is another new addition to JNP.

In addition to loads of activities, there are plenty of Yuletide photo-ops, making this event as much fun for the parents as it is for the kids.
