The origin of the best chocolate in Wyoming begins in a bit of an odd way – a cowboy looking to further his career, encouraged by his mom to sell chocolate as a fundraiser. Though bronc rider Tim Kellogg was originally reluctant, he eventually agreed and the Meeteetse Chocolatier was born.
When Tim Kellogg first made a few batches of truffles to raise money for a saddle, his chocolates quickly became the talk of the town. Shortly afterwards, he opened up the Meeteetse Chocolatier.

Kellogg has since dedicated himself to learning the fine art of chocolate making, and travels around the world learning from famous chocolatiers.

The result of Tim’s hard work and dedication is the most incredible little chocolate shop in the West.

While there’s always a variety of truffles, brownies, and chocolates in the shop, Kellogg has become known for making his happy hour truffles infused with local bourbons, beers, and spirits.

Be sure to call ahead and double check the shop’s hours, because Kellogg occasionally jet-sets about the globe to learn from chocolatiers in Belize, Paris, Belgium and elsewhere.
