Shopping for fresh fruits and vegetables (and more) couldn’t be easier than at the ginormous roadside farm market found in McBee – a small town of fewer than 1,000 residents. The giant market boasts fresh, seasonal produce as well as fresh-baked goods, gift items and more. If you’ve never stumbled upon this hidden gem, then you’re not alone: McBee isn’t exactly on the beaten path in the Palmetto State, but a road trip to McLeod Farms is definitely an adventure you’ll enjoy.

The 7,500-acre farm includes a huge peach orchard and a variety of produce-producing fields from which the farm market is stocked all year round.

Few farms in South Carolina can say they’ve been in the same family for more than 100 years like McLeod Farms in McBee. The current owner belongs to the fourth generation of McLeods that have farmed the area since 1916.
