Ready for a little adventure Rhode Island? Today’s hike will take you on a wonderful journey through the forest to a hidden overlook. The Long Woods Pond Trail isn’t the easiest hike but with with a sturdy pair of shoes and a bit of determination, you can make the trip to an unforgettable destination.
The Audubon Society of Rhode Island has more than a dozen gorgeous properties scattered around the state. Long Pond Woods is a 220-acre refuge in Hopkinton providing a challenging trail that leads to quite a scenic spot.

The 4.2-mile out-and-back Long Pond Woods Trail winds through a lush forest of rhododendron, mountain laurel, towering oaks, and hemlocks.
