If you’re needing a smaller adventure than Pinnacle Mountain State Park, the nearby Lake Willastein is a low-key alternative that doesn’t skimp on views. Lake Willastein is a dreamy park just northwest of Little Rock.

AllTrails/Elle Kymer-Davis This park features Lake Willastein Trail, a 2.1-mile loop around the lake. The trail can be broken up into five different paths to fit any family’s needs. Take the full loop for a morning run or zigzag around the smaller loops for younger children wanting to take all of the bridges.
