Some of the best places to dine in Utah are some of its longest-standing cafes and diners. Here’s a little cafe all the way up in Richmond that’s been serving tasty food for decades.
The little town of Richmond is located near the Utah/Idaho border. It’s home to around 2,600 people, and is full of community pride.
L.D.’s Cafe has been serving up home-cooked meals right on Main Street since 1959, and it’s still going strong.

It’s still got the original swivel-stools and the big, square counter. Climb up on a stool and peruse the menu.

L.D.’s serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner. The breakfast plates are old-school, with eggs and hash browns and the best bacon you’ve ever tried.

You’ll find a traditional lunch menu with tasty treats like homemade chili and a BLT (made with that same, thick cut bacon).

You’ll definitely want to sink your teeth into the pastrami burger, and the waffle fries are pretty good, too.

Watch for the daily dinner specials. The chicken fried chicken with mashed potatoes, corn, and a biscuit is one of our favorites.
