At just under one mile long, this out-and-back hike won’t take too much time, but there’s so much to see. Much of the trail is surrounded by beautiful trees with rock formations in the distance, and the sound of rushing water is plentiful.

Though most of the trail is solid dirt, there are many rocks and different routes, so it can be as easy or difficult as you like. Feel free to take the easy route for a more laid-back hike and take in your surroundings. There are plenty of trees surrounding the trail, so no matter what time of year it is, there will always be some shade.

Once you get to the end, you’ll find incredible views of Jemez Falls. The serene water falls down upon the rocks, offering a relaxing atmosphere.

From there, you can climb down to the bottom of the falls for another waterfall, or wade in the small waterfall pool at the top.

This waterfall filled hike is perfect for people of all ages and levels of experience. While it may be tempting, we do not recommend cliff jumping, as the water beneath is much too shallow.
