Christmas at the Newport Mansions kicks off in November and wraps up on New Years Day.

The Breakers, The Elms, and Marble House are all National Historic Landmarks, and during the holiday season, they look especially enchanting.

Preservation Society of Newport County Facebook All three mansions are available for daily tours from 9 a.m. or 10 a.m. until around 5 p.m. They will also be closed on special holidays like Thanksgiving and Christmas Day.

Aside from the special tours, the mansions will be hosting a series of holiday events as well.

Preservation Society of Newport County Facebook Holiday Evenings at the Newport Mansions include special musical performances, and the annual Holiday Dinner Dance is December 21. The dance is sold out, which is impressive considering tickets cost $400 per person for non-members.

If you have little ones in your life, bring them to the Newport Mansions on Sundays in December for a special meet & greet with Santa Claus.

Preservation Society of Newport County Facebook Santa will visit each of the three houses on successive Sunday afternoons in December to listen to those wish lists. He will be at The Breakers December 1, Marble House December 8, and The Elms on December 15 (all from 12 - p.m.).
