♫Fall time and the livin’ is easy♫ Right? Well, yes and no. The leaves may be extraordinary colors, but we have still had to deal with abnormally high temperatures, followed by freezing cold and snow. Despite this, however, it is still an incredible season, and Coloradans have invented new ways of celebrating, including these seven timeless fall traditions:
- Sticking with our men no matter what.

- Roasting Pueblo chiles.

- Drive up (or down) the mountain to hear the elks bugle.

- Lose friends by taking them to one of the best haunted houses in America.

Fortunately for Coloradans, it is here and can be experienced at the Emma Crawford Coffin Races; an annual Manitou Springs tradition that pays homage to that time a coffin containing Emma Crawford’s remains slid down the side of the mountain. (The 2019 Emma Crawford Coffin Races take place Saturday, October 26th in downtown Manitou.)
