From breathtaking colored sand to beaches with crystalline turquoise waters, and from shores littered with tourists to those where you might be completely secluded, the Hawaiian Islands are home to some of the greatest beaches in the world. And while most of these beaches are easily accessible — with parking lots just steps from the sand — there are others that require a bit more effort.
Not only is this stunning stretch of sand nestled along the coast of the small island of Molokai — easily Hawaii’s most wild and beautiful island — but it’s only accessible via a 45-minute hike or a long, bumpy drive on an old dirt road.

To reach this stunning stretch of sand, drive to Paniolo Hale off Kaluakoi Road where you will find a dirt road off to the right. Park here and hike or embark on a drive along the dirt road with a four-wheel-drive vehicle.
