Campos Market is the perfect example. Located in Boise, the humble Mexican grocery store looks pretty unassuming and typical from the outside. However, make your way to the very back of the store and you’ll find yourself inside one of Idaho’s most authentic Mexican eateries, featuring the best tacos around. This place is simply a hidden gem and you’ll just have to visit it and see it for yourself!
Hiding in plain sight in the capital city of Boise, Campos Market is the definition of a hidden gem. It’s totally unassuming from the outside, but just wait until you see what deliciousness can be found inside.

The quaint Mexican grocery store is definitely small, consisting of just a handful of aisles that are well-stocked with canned goods, candy, beverages, and fresh produce.

However, if you head to the very back, you’ll see that the store also contains a small eatery. Boasting just a small walk-up counter and just a few surroundings tables, the eatery is as inconspicuous as can be.

On the menu is a good selection of authentic Mexican eats, including mostly street food like tortas, quesadillas, burritos, sopes, and enchiladas. Each dish comes with your choice of meat such as chicken, chorizo, or asada.

Of course, it’s the tacos that you’ll want to try first. Created with perfectly prepared meat, a dash of onion and cilantro, and topped with your hot sauce of choice, these little street tacos are the real deal.
