DeGroot Orchards is in northeastern Nebraska between Norfolk and the small town of Madison. The DeGroot family has been living in the area and growing apples on these 40 acres for nearly 80 years.

The little seasonal produce stand comes alive in the early fall when the apples begin to ripen. The Galas are typically the first to be ready for harvesting - you can expect those around mid-September. You’ve got to try the delicious apple cider when you stop in!

Their more than 22 different varieties of apples become ripe at different times, so no two visits will be exactly the same.

When the pumpkins are orange enough, visitors can venture out into the field to choose their very own.
