We all know what a wholesome, family-friendly place the Henry Doorly Zoo is during the day. But have you ever spent an evening there? Come to this adults-only evening event to see what the state’s most popular attraction is like when it’s dark and there are no kids to be seen.
Late Nights at the Zoo is a summer event that takes place over several Thursdays from May through September. As of the time of publication, there’s only one date left for 2019: September 19th.

Since the event is only open to those 21 and over, it’s your chance to leave the kids at home and enjoy this world-class attraction in a more grownup way.

Although you can’t wander the entire zoo after dark, several exhibits are open to nighttime guests. Visit the Lied Jungle, Kingdoms of the Night, and Scott Aquarium for an entirely unique experience.

You can see animals that aren’t usually active during daytime hours. And because there are far fewer visitors at night, you won’t have to elbow your way through the crowds in front of your favorite animals.
Late Nights at the Zoo also features food available for purchase from local food trucks. One drink ticket is included with admission and allows guests to enjoy a beer, hard cider or seltzer, or glass of wine for no additional charge. Non-alcoholic beverages are also available, as are additional drink tickets.
