Viewing dazzling light displays is probably one of the most popular Christmas traditions. Lucky for us, there are several great displays here in the Magnolia State – and one that belongs on your seasonal bucket list is Christmas in the Park. The glowing display features millions of colorful lights and a whole lot of holiday cheer! Take a look:

However, the park gets even better during the holiday season when it puts on its annual light display, Christmas in the Park.

During the festive celebration, the 40-acre park is decked out with colorful Christmas lights.

Millions of lights are used to create the array of holiday scenes that fill the park, making it the biggest community event of its kind in the area.

There are two options for viewing the glowing display.

The first option is to take a driving tour, which means you can view the colorful Christmas lights from the comfort of your (warm) vehicle.

Driving tours are available nightly (weather permitting) from Thanksgiving until New Year’s Eve 6 p.m. – 8 p.m. Admission is $5 for cars, $10 for commercial vans, and $20 for passenger buses.

Walking tours are available one night only, which is November 27th, from 6 p.m. – 9:30 p.m. Admission is $5 for adults and $2 for children.

A great choice, the walking tour allows you to move through the display at your own pace. It also gives you a chance to get a close-up look at the intricate display (and take some pics).

The walking tour brings with it another treat – Santa and Mrs. Clause! The big guy in the red suit and his wife will be at the park for pictures. Hot chocolate and cookies are also available, perfectly completing the festive fun.
