Life in new england is unique. Of course, there are the obvious things like adorable covered bridges and a long history. But if you’ve been here long enough, you know that we also endure some pretty unique weather. Hot summer with stormy days mix with the beautiful sunny ones. And, the winter? Well, we all know about the winters. Dealing with changing weather often means having to include a back-up plan for activities. But with this indoor water park, weather isn’t a concern. And that’s why we love it year-round!

From the outside, Kahuna Laguna looks like it might just be a resort nestled in the trees of North Conway. But the reality is that this area of the state doesn’t always look this green. And inside these walls is one of the most fun ways to pretend it’s not winter outside.

The indoor water park features four water slides, a play tower, a water basketball section and a 25-person hot tub. That’s a lot of friends you can fit!

The four waterslides take up a big portion of the water park. And for good reason! Each is windy and curvy, making for a fun descent into the waters below.

While large, this place is also small enough to be accessible for little feet. You can spend the entire day exploring without wasting time going from attraction to attraction.

While many amusement parks cater to bigger kids, we love that this one keeps little ones in mind.

There are dedicated areas for kids including the 9-inch deep activity pool that has a 3-person slide.

There are also a number of fun water toys, a baby bouncer built for 4 people, and a squirting lemon drop fountain.

To really heighten the tropical feel, spend some time at the indoor beach with a 67,000-gallon wave pool that has three different patterns of three-foot waves.

This is a great place to visit on stormy, cold weekends. And it’s especially fun during the holidays when friends and family are in town.
