Fall is officially here and there’s no better way to celebrate than with a parade! This town in Massachusetts has been kicking off the foliage season in style for generations, and everyone’s invited to the party. Here’s what you need to know.
The North Adams Fall Foliage Parade and Festival has been going on since 1955. It aims to showcase the best that the Berkshires have to offer in the gorgeous fall months.

The festival’s highlight is the Fall Foliage parade. It winds its way through downtown North Adams from the Ocean State Job Lot parking lot and includes dozens of local organizations and businesses in full fall finery.

This year’s theme is “There’s No Place Like Hone in the Berkshires,” which honors the 80th anniversary Wizard of Oz. You can expect everything from parade floats to costumed attendees to reflect this whimsical theme.

The kids will have plenty to do at the children’s fair portion of the festival. They’ll find games, activities, and dancing waiting for them.

Everyone will love taking part in fall activities and shopping for seasonal treats. Artisans will be hawking their best fall wares at the craft fair, so be sure to bring some spare cash!
