Minnesota is full of beautiful waterfalls. They’re scattered in every region of the state, especially along the North Shore. There, Minnesota’s most famous waterfalls – Gooseberry, the High Falls of the Pigeon River, and more – draw thousands of visitors every year. But there are many waterfalls beyond the most famous, and they too are worth visiting. One secret waterfall just south of the Twin Cities has far fewer visitors than the North Shore greats. An easy hike through the woods will take you to the beautiful Caron Park Falls. Here’s what you need to know about visiting:
Caron Park is a small but lovely park near the city of Northfield, Minnesota, just south of the Twin Cities.

The park, just a few miles west of Nerstrand Big-Woods State Park, covers 60 acres of land. Trails through the park will take you on a fun trip tour of Minnesota’s natural scenery.

There is a lot to see inside the park. For example, an old steel footbridge crosses the park’s gentle creek. It’s a peaceful scene and a great photo op.
