The Caney Creek Falls Trail will lead you to the upper part of Caney Creek Falls, which drops 20 feet and is usually referred to as Upper Caney Creek Falls. This particular part of the waterfall is also one of Alabama’s best swimming holes.

Another great feature of the upper part of Caney Creek Falls is you can walk behind it. There aren’t many waterfalls in Alabama where you’re able to do this.

To experience more beautiful scenery, you’ll want to continue hiking down the creek. This additional hike will lead you to the lower portion of the waterfall, which is known as Lower Caney Creek Falls.
