One of the best things about fall is enjoying the outdoors in beautiful weather and absence of mosquitoes. For a hike with spectacular views, check out Bromide Hill Hike in Chickasaw National Recreation Area in southern Oklahoma.

The Chickasaw National Recreation Area in south-central Oklahoma is the perfect place to explore the great outdoors. This Oklahoma oasis is situated at the foothills of the Arbuckle Mountains and features several beautiful trails, one of which is the Bromide Hill Hike.

Once out on the trails, just check the signs until you make your way to Bromide Hill Overlook.

The hike is 2.4 miles from the trailhead and rated as moderate. It’s mostly wooded along the route and you’ll pass several springs and creeks that make for a beautiful backdrop.

The trail is wide enough for mountain bikes, and you are allowed to brings dogs on the trail if they are kept on a leash. Chickasaw National Recreation Area is open year-round, so you can enjoy the views with many different looks.
