Calling all wannabe Santas, elves, and Abominable Snowmen (and women)! This Santa Run in Wisconsin definitely belongs on your holiday season bucket list. Even if you don’t feel like running, you can jog or walk along the course that features fun stations along the way. You might even meet the real Santa, and you’ll probably run into the Grinch during the 5K, too.
Lace up your running shoes, Wisconsin, because it’s that time of the year again. The Run Santa Run 5k returns to Madison on December 8, 2019.

The 7th Annual 5K welcomes runners to dress as Santa, as an elf, or as the Abominable Snowman. If you don’t have a costume, no worries.

With your registration fee, you’ll receive a shirt and an accessory to go with your shirt. If you decide to run as Santa, for example, you’ll receive a Santa shirt and a hat/beard.

Sign up before race day, and pay just $40 for your registration.

Even if you can’t make it on race day, you can still participate. The registration, which is $25, entitles you to your shirt and gear.

However, you’ll create your own route and walk or run when it’s convenient for you. Afterward, let race officials know your time and distance by emailing info@racedayeventsllc.com.

The race kicks off at Capitol Square at 3:10 p.m. and runs until 4:30 p.m. Along the way, you’ll stop at a variety of stations. Fun stations include the Candy Cane, the Kisses, and the Cookie.

Catch sight of the Grinch as you’re walking or running? Beat him to the finish line, and you just might win a prize.

After you’ve finished the 5K, kick back, relax, and celebrate your accomplishment at the North Pole Post-Race Party. (Numerous area bars are set to participate.)
