We’ve been writing a lot about fall foliage, but bear with us. There are only a few weeks a year we can do this and right now we’re intending on soaking up every minute. One of the best ways to experience the leaves is on a car trip, but when you’re looking for a way to get even closer consider this hike. It’s a beautiful way to experience the season here in New Hampshire.

Bridal Veil Falls is a beautiful waterfall in the White Mountains. A visit any time of year is spectacular, but fall offers something special.

The best way to see it is via the 2.5-mile Coppermine Trail, but you can also reach it using the Bridal Veil Falls Trail, which is a bit longer at 4-miles.

If you take the Coppermine Trail you’ll begin at Coppermine Road off of Easton Road. Head Town Coppermind Road, passing Beechwood Road on the left. Just after Beechwood Road you’ll see the trailhead on the left. It’s not marked well, but once you begin you’ll see the appropriate signs to let you know you’re on the right track.

The trail is well-maintained. While it’s graded at “moderate,” most folks say this is a pretty simple route with not a ton of elevation gain.

Depending on what time you do the hike, things will feel misty and other-worldly.

But you might not notice that as much as the beautiful fall colors.
