Walking around a festive square or driving through a Christmas light display are wonderful traditions for any Arkansas family; however, there’s another event you definitely need to have on your list this year. Beginning every weekend from Nov. 22nd through Dec. 22nd, 2019, the Mountain View Area Chamber of Commerce will be hosting the Caroling in the Caverns in the Blanchard Springs Caverns. Let’s head underground for this one-of-a-kind experience.

Blanchard Springs Caverns is a wonderful Arkansas attraction to visit any time of year.

TripAdvisor/Jamie E It’s certainly perfect for a summer break weekend getaway but don’t forget to come back during the holidays for a very special event.

A normal tour through the cave is already a magical experience.

Facebook/Mountain View Area Chamber of Commerce The three-level cave system is the state’s second longest cave and the only tourist cave owned by the U.S. Forest Service. There are three tours available which includes the Wild Cave Tour for spelunkers. Visitors can also experience the nearby trails, camping, and beauty of Mirror Lake in addition to falling in love with the cave.

The cave becomes downright enchanting during the holiday season.

Facebook/Arkansas State Tourism The cave’s signature event is the annual Caroling in the Caverns. Local musicians from Mountain View will perform traditional Christmas songs with a few silly contemporary pieces as well (like the Ozark version of the 12 Days of Christmas).

The cave’s Cathedral Room will become quite the concert hall for the next month.

Facebook/Arkansas State Tourism The cave’s acoustics turn the strings and vocals into an ethereal experience that is completely captivating. The concerts last about an hour and are open to all ages.

Save yourself a seat for this stunning holiday tradition before space runs out!
