Wear sturdy shoes or hiking boots for your trek to Big Manitou Falls. If you want to admire the waterfall from one of the nearby overlooks, head over to the main picnic area and go through the pedestrian tunnel.

However, if you’re up for a challenging, albeit short, hike, embark on the Big Manitou Falls River Trail. At just half a mile, the steep trail will lead you through a wooded area to the falls.
