This swanky restaurant dates back to 1910. Formally known as a general store and deli called Sig’s, it was transformed in the 1980s into the European Cafe style restaurant it is today.
Amber Rose Restaurant and Catering/Facebook Fun fact: The Ksiezopolski family owned and operated the general store and lived upstairs. The National Guard even stayed with the family during the Great Flood of 1913, according to the Amber Rose Restaurant website.
On the menu, you’ll find tried and true family recipes from Elinor Sluzas. Pictured is the Jäger Schnitzel, which is a popular choice.
