Here in Texas, we have the unique opportunity to curl up with a warm mug of hot cocoa and sink our toes in the sand simultaneously. Beachtoberfest, a fall festival with sandy pumpkin patches and more paradoxical attractions, is a perfect example of this, and it all goes down in Port Aransas through October 31.

Beachtoberfest is an eight-week fall festival that’s so uniquely Texas. From a sandy pumpkin patch to haunted hayrides, this annual celebration is unlike anything you’ve ever experienced.

Everyone could use a few more additions to their spooky collection. Whether you’re in search of hauntingly haute fashion statements or devilish decor, diamonds in the rough abound at every turn.

One of the most popular events is Beach Pumpkin Hustle, a 5K fun run on October 26. Wear your most elaborate Halloween costume, as medals will be awarded for both race winners and best-dressed participants. There’s also a s’mores party at the finish line!

We Texans take our food very seriously, so plenty of delicious options will be available throughout the festival’s duration. Free bar snacks, BBQ, drinks, and so much more offer ample fuel to keep you going until the fun ends.
