There are some views in Florida that just cannot be missed. Just because we don’t have a tremendous amount of mountains peppering our horizon in Florida doesn’t mean that we don’t have scenic views a‘plenty. The next time you want to enjoy a bit of nature, stretch your gams, and enjoy some beautiful ocean views in Florida, check out this magnificent bridge trail.

The Old Bahia Honda Bridge trail is one of the most underrated trails in the state, especially since there are some pretty magnificent views from the overlook.

But also what makes this hiking trail worth the experiencing is the rich history it holds.

The old bridge spanned the 5,000-foot Bahia Honda channel, and was part of the East Coast Railway built by Henry Flagler in the early 1900s.

You’ll be able to recount the historical significance of the bridge through the interpretive signs that will greet you at the beginning of the trail.

While it may be a small hike according to some, the views of the surrounding area make it a trail that is worth taking the whole family to enjoy.
