Beautiful year round, this 898-acre state park was formed in 1938 and is the first official state park of Maine.

The park features 3 miles of hiking trails, each one ranging in difficulty and will take you on quite the scenic adventure.

One of the park’s main attractions during the warmer months is Echo Lake. In the spring in summer, it’s common to see many locals swimming, fishing, and exploring the lake by kayak.
