The increase in Amtrak train travel could be due to a variety of factors, including the option of high-speed travel in certain corridors, improved interiors, and the company’s ability to listen to their customers and make improvements accordingly.

Over the next two years, Amtrak also plans to improve its infrastructure, which should also boost sales and encourage travelers. Just this past year, $437 million was spent in improving the existing trains.
