Some of us are sitting at our desks working, some are picking our kids up from school, some of us are cozy at home, others are on the road. Whatever you’re doing, you’ve likely received at least 1 alert about an impending snow squall. I got 15. Is that excessive? How many did you get? Let us know in the comments. Read on for the details, and be safe out there.
A snow squall is a sudden snowfall with strong winds. They are known to cause dangerous white-out conditions.

At least 10 New Jersey Counties (and several in Pennsylvania) are under a snow squall warning. Winds may exceed 30 miles per hour.
Emily Bell/Flickr New Jersey counties include: Sussex, Warren, Morris, Somerset, Middlesex, Bergen, Essex, Hudson, Union, and Passaic.
Drivers are encouraged to stay off roads, if possible. Wait it out if you’re unable to see. Slick, icy roads are also a concern.

The warning is currently only until 4:15 p.m. but the sky darkened rapidly near me and the snow is coming down hard and fast. Let us know what it’s like by you and use caution if driving.
