Most of us know that Maine can be quite challenging in the winter. Between the cold temperatures, the windy gusts and the snow it can be tempting to stay indoors until June. But just a few years ago we had an interesting respite from that weather. We love the cozy days that come with a winter in Vacationland, but that warm day was something we’ll never forget!

The record before the 2015 record-setting heat wave was 57 degrees in 1888. However, some locations in the state saw 57 in2014.

While perhaps most notable for those of use expecting snow and cold, Maine wasn’t the only state to experience these temperatures.
